Greater

Hey y’all!! I’m so excited to be part of a promotion team for the new movie GREATER!

This movie is ALL about believing in yourself, following your dreams and working hard to achieve your goals.

This year I am so excited to be working as an Aide in the local high school. Part of my job is helping students with their school work and a personal goal I have is to motivate and encourage my students that they can do anything- if they work hard and believe in themselves.

Check out the movie trailer below

GREATER is an inspirational movie based on the life of Brandon Burlsworth that reminds us that any dream is possible. GREATER releases in theaters this August 26.

Brandon had one dream – to play for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Unfortunately, Brandon was a clumsy player who lacked the physical prowess to make the team. He was written off by coaches and teased by his fellow teammates. Undeterred, Brandon continued to show-up for practice. He woke up before anyone else and worked harder than anyone else, until his determination paid off. Not only was he given an opportunity to walk-on and play football – he became one of the greatest players on the field, and was drafted to the Indianapolis Colts.

A Beauty Refined Giveaway

A Beauty Refined

What does it take to reveal the true beauty of a hidden gem?

Phoebe Von Bergen, the daughter of a German count, is excited to visit America for the first time while her father purchases sapphires in Helena, Montana. Little does she know, however, that her father’s intentions—both for her and the gemstones—are not what she thinks.

Ian Harper, a lapidary working in Helena, finds the dignified young woman staying at the Broadwater Hotel more than a little intriguing. Yet the more he gets to know her, the more he realizes that her family story is based on a lie–a lie she has no knowledge of. And Ian believes he knows the only path that will lead her to freedom.

Meeting Ian has changed everything for Phoebe, and she begins to consider staying in America, regardless of her father’s plans. But she may not be prepared for the unexpected danger that results when her family’s deception begins to unravel.

MY REVIEW:

I was really excited to be able to request a copy of this book to review here at JoJo’s Corner! Though this is the second book in the series, it can be totally enjoyed as a stand-alone…and enjoy it you will! I just adore stories of identity and secrets and mystery and this one definitely brings these themes into play. From page one I was sucked into the story and time period, getting to know the characters one by one and loving every minute of it. The authors ability to paint worlds in vivid pictures to play out in the readers mind is amazing! These characters and setting seemed as real to me as yesterday. If you enjoy historical fiction, you wont want to miss this one! I loved Phoebe and Ian so much and I think you will too!

All Allyson and her friends want is a peaceful, grown-up evening of dinner and conversation . . . a long-needed moms’ night out. But in order to enjoy high heels, adult conversation and food not served in a bag, they need their husbands to watch the kids for a few hours—what could go wrong?
Chronicling one night out gone awry, three harried moms, their husbands, a sister-in-law with a misplaced baby, a tattoo parlor owner, a motorcycle gang, and a bewildered cabbie all learn to embrace the beautiful mess called parenting. This book spotlights the unfulfilled expectations and serial self-doubts many moms feel . . . then reassures us that the key is raising kids in a loving home. Mom’s Night Out is an endearing, true-to-life comedy.
