Sometimes my mind is a kaleidoscope…

Kaleidoscope Me
Hilary K. Grigonis

*** Special THANK YOU to the author for providing me with a review copy.***

When she isn’t writing, Hillary K. Grigonis can usually be found with a camera in hand. She lives in Mid-Michigan with her husband and young son. After starting to write fiction as a teenager, she’s always been interested in creating stories for young adults. She started writing Kaleidoscope Me while attending Saginaw Valley State University. A writer at heart, she also contributes to several websites on a regular basis, including serving as the editor of Kaleidoscope Me is her first novel.

Fourteen-year-old Jadyn thinks of her mind as a kaleidoscope, her thoughts scatter together, but to her, that just creates an intricate pattern. But when her Great-Aunt Nadine and little brother disappear in the middle of a late winter snowstorm, Jadyn may be the only one who can figure out where they went. As she tries to solve the puzzle, her thoughts take her back to her mother’s death, an invisible rift between friends and questions on a faith she’s always had.

I loved this book so much, I read it in one sitting!
In ways, Jadyn was mesmerizing as a main character…very real, down to earth and totally relatable!
The writing style kept me interested as the author shares bits and pieces of the past and the present.
I became quite attached to this family fairly quick, going through the emotional journey with the characters.
I highly recommend this debut novel and cannot wait to see what the future holds for this awesome author!
