My Review of this

In Mesu Andrew’s “In The Shadow of Jezebel” the pages of Scripture come alive in vivid color and live action!
As I read, I was swept back in time…to Bible times, to the days of priests and prophets.
I was reacquainted with Jezebel, a character I was somewhat familiar with from the Sunday School stories of my childhood.
But in this story I gained new INSIGHT about this very complicated character and her descendants.
Sometimes when we read the Scriptures, we tend to forget that these “characters” were real people, who lived real lives!
Mesu’s writing and research is so delicately thought-out that, while reading, it was hard to discern where fiction and fact separate.
I was caught up in the action, the love, the drama and even shed a few tears along the way.
This story is our story, our history as God’s people and a beautiful reminder that our Yahweh is bigger than our past mistakes, bigger than our failures, bigger than our brokenness. He has the power, the right and the desire to pull us from our despair and set our feet on a new path- towards a Godly destiny!
Don’t miss this amazing, epic story….let it stir within you a greater love for the Bible and it’s Author!!!
