One decision changed both their lives . . . but will love win in the end?
Charlotte Rose Hill enjoys a comfortable life serving up country delicacies, uniquely blended teas, and matchmaking advice for her quirky, devoted customers. The only thing lacking is someone to share it with.
At eighteen she denied Sam Wilder’s marriage proposal after his family convinced her to walk away from their relationship. They both moved on . . . or so she thought.
When Sam walks back into her life more than a decade later, Charlotte is surprised that her heart still quickens. But is it because of his presence? Or because of the presence of Sam’s new fiancée?
A second chance at love doesn’t happen often, but their past may keep them apart. Is it too late for Sam and Charlotte?

I just love Abingdon Press! Their books are always super classy and interesting and wonderful and “A Marriage In Middlebury” is just more proof of that!!!
Anita Higman is a delight to read! The world she has crafted in Middlebury has a very small town feel…much like Jan Karon’s Mitford books. Everyone sort of knows everyone and everyone has grown up together. Her ability to make the setting and characters come alive on the page is a reading pleasure!
main character Charlotte Rose runs a wonderful little tea shop (oh….I soooo want to go there!!!) Charlotte seems comfortable I’m her lot in life, until a love from the past returns to Middlebury.
Sam’s father (a key player in what went wrong between Charlotte & Sam) is dying. Sam was never close to his father, they had a mostly cordial father/son relationship. Sam is also in town to marry his fiancée, Audrey (who is Charlotte’s complete opposite!).
Audrey seems to know all about Charlotte and even asks her to cater the wedding!
Both Sam & Charlotte find themselves attracted to each other and fighting feelings of the past.
This is a wonderful story of life, love and second chances.
Will love get a second chance after all these years??? You’ll have to read to find out!!!
